Have you sustained an injury to your Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL)? Or do you play a sport that is known to have a higher risk of sustaining an ACL injury? We love sport here in Australia! Many of our sports involve changing direction, pivoting, turning and accelerating. Unfortunately, if we are not well conditioned, these factors can sometimes increase our risk of suffering an injury to our ACL.
All of our physiotherapists have experience in diagnosing and managing ACL injuries throughout the pre-habilitation and rehabilitation processes.
Sustaining an ACL injury can be quite shocking and upsetting to a patient. At ISO Physiotherapy, we pride ourselves on making the journey as seamless and as easy as possible for our clients.
We are with you every step of the way, from the day the injury happens through to the day you return to the sporting field, and beyond! We regularly check in with our clients who are back playing sport, just to make sure everything is okay and provide them with ongoing advice if needed.
We have very good relationships with local surgeons, GP’s and sporting clubs that contribute to the seamless nature of our approach. We are in constant contact with your GP and surgeon to make sure that your team is all on the same page with regard to your recovery and rehabilitation. We also keep in contact with your coach (if returning to sport) so that they’re aware of your return to play timeline.
We use a combination of our experience as well as the most up to date evidence to plan your rehabilitation pathway. We will cater your journey to the goals that you have set for yourself and make sure that we help facilitate you achieving those goals in any way we can. Aside from rehabilitation, we have also provided many athletes’ with risk reduction programs to help reduce their risk of ACL injury.
