From the weekend warrior to the elite athlete, we regularly treat athletes from all walks of life.
All of our treating therapists have experience working with elite sporting teams, and are competent in treating and managing a vast array of complex sporting injuries. The great location of our clinic allows those with an acute injury to present to our clinic 1-2 days post-injury or sometimes even on the same day.
At ISO Physiotherapy, we have many great relationships with local schools and sporting clubs around the Eastern Suburbs, which has allowed us to manage sporting injuries across all ages. It is not uncommon to see kids as young as 6 or 7 presenting with a sporting injury, as well as adults in their 70’s or 80’s.
The most common injuries in these populations that we see include injuries to the ligaments, muscles, tendons, and joints. It is also common that we see acute fractures and load related injuries.
At ISO Physiotherapy, we pride ourselves on an efficient and accurate diagnosis as well as acute-stage management that sets the patient up for a successful rehabilitation program designed to return to their chosen sport.
We use a variety of modalities with our sporting injuries, to ensure an optimal recovery. These can include the use of a Compex machine, the Air-Relax compression system, blood flow restriction training, cryotherapy, heat therapy, exercise rehabilitation and manual therapy.
Once back on the field, it doesn’t end there! We go a couple of steps further to explore and identify ways to maximise your future on-field performance and look at risk reduction of future injuries.
If you have a sports injury that needs an accurate diagnosis and management plan, we would be delighted to help you achieve your goals of returning to the sporting field!
Not sure if your injury requires physiotherapy? One of our physiotherapists would be happy to speak to and guide you on the next appropriate steps.
